NP/PA - Hospitalist opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!
Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant – Hospitalist position. The NP/PA- Hospitalist must be able to work independently to provide general medical care, treatment, and health care services to patients within the scope of their licensure and expertise level. This position provides coverage for Hospitalist service from 7pm to 7am with Hospitalist physician back up on call for ICU admission or complex admission or other acute patient care needs. This position will write admission orders for Hospitalist patients from 7pm to 7am. This position will examine patients and perform comprehensive physical examination, as well as compile medical data including health history and results of physical examination. They will administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, laboratory, and other ancillary services as appropriate and differentiate between normal and abnormal information contained in the test result. The position will utilize performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality and participate in the continued program development and marketing of service line. This position will participate in CMS and other quality measures for the Hospitalist patients. They will demonstrate adherence to the laws and regulations, general principles of ethical conduct and internal policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Advanced Practice Clinician (PA or NP), degree with current Montana License
Licensure and Certifications: Current CPR/ACLS and DEA certifications are required.
Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The successful NP candidate has strong clinical skills, the ability to analyze data to formulate diagnosis and treatment plans and admit patient in hospital setting, and possesses strong professional communication skills. The NP exercises initiative and judgment, conflict resolution, demonstrates empathy and sensitivity, and works in a manner which is conducive to productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Experience: A minimum of one year Hospitalist experience is required.
