Sterile Processing Technician opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!
Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Sterile Processing Technician position in our Surgical Services Dept. The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and packaging of instruments, medical devices, and equipment used in sterile procedures. This position requires the compliance and application of the rules and regulations set forth by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN), facility policy and procedure, and quality assurance measures. The Sterile Processing Technician will report directly to the Sterile Processing Department Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Preferred graduate of accredited surgical technologist program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP), or High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) to be obtained within one year of hire.
Job Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities: Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, ability to obtain and apply knowledge of Sterile Processing rules and regulations
Experience: Preferred one year experience as Sterile Processing Technician
