Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill an Systems Engineer position. The Systems Engineer is responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department. Installs, updates and maintains all computer equipment throughout the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or Network Technology (required).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as a Systems Engineer or Hardware Technician. Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System (desktop and server), Microsoft Exchange, TCP/IP, Active Directory, VMWare, SAN/NAS, and Citrix. Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, phone software, and Intel-based computers.
Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: One or more of the following minimum recent certifications: MCSE, CCNA, VCP (preferred).
Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Customer focus required with excellent communication skills. Requires strong analytical, statistical skills and interpretive abilities to analyze data and make recommendations for improvements or changes. Requires the ability to understand concepts related to information system applications, networks, and interfaces.
