Customer Service and Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will assist customers with inquiries, resolve issues, and enhance their overall experience with our products and services. A strong focus on communication and customer satisfaction is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to address inquiries and provide assistance.
• Process transactions and customer information using our management system accurately and efficiently with a strong attention to detail.
• Maintain stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure product availability.
• Demonstrate product features through engaging product demos to enhance customer understanding.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing and applicable discounts.
• Upsell products and services by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment focused on customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns effectively, ensuring timely resolution.
• The position will require regular light office cleaning to ensure that the first impression is good.
• Tracking and ordering of office and shop supplies when supplies are running low.
• There will be some marketing via Facebook, our website and other sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
• Previous experience in construction materials is preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with customers.
• Basic math skills are required for handling transactions and providing accurate information to customers.
• Familiarity with stock management processes and retail math concepts is advantageous.
• Ability to perform product demonstrations confidently to engage customers effectively.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling products based on customer needs is highly valued.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
