What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Mental Health Behavior Consultant - Darby, MT position at Bitterroot Valley Education Cooperative?
Opening for Behavior Consultant in school based mental health program in Victor, MT. Training starts ASAP. Consultant will work with a Mental Health Therapist and school staff to provide support for students with emotional and behavioral problems in a school setting.
DUTIES
- Collaborates with classroom teachers, key school personnel, parents and therapists to develop and implement positive behavior and educational interventions.
- Provides direct classroom support (implement behavior interventions, role model, deescalate student behavior).
- Assists with social skills training and co-facilitates groups as requested by therapist.
- Crisis response and support
- Documentation for billing Medicaid (HMK ), CHIP (HMK) and private insurance
QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor Degree in psychology, education, social work or a closely related field. Bachelor Degree in related human service area starts on a salary. Starting SALARY RANGE $31,510.00 - 33,211.00 for a 9 month, 187 day contract, dependent on experience (DOE). Summer work/services are paid at an hourly pro-rate of salary. Bachelor Degree in an alternative area are placed on an hourly wage scale DOE with the opportunity to move to salary in the future. Non-degree Behavior Consultants are placed on an hourly wage scale DOE. Sign on bonus of $1000 available for this position.
