Facilities Manager- Autism Facility

Bittersweet Farms, a world-renowned leader in serving adults and adolescents with autism located in Whitehouse, Ohio, is seeking a Facilities Manager customarily working first shift hours, however, needs may arise outside of regular hours, such as snow removal needs or maintenance emergencies. This full time position will perform various janitorial, maintenance and grounds keeping functions within the facilities of Bittersweet.

Responsibilities Include:

· Ensure all vehicles are registered and licensed and maintain appropriate documentation for renewal process

· Maintain company vehicle safety through inspection and coordination of routine maintenance

· Assist in scheduling repairs as needed within department and with any outside contractors

· Maintain key card database and assist with maintaining records and security of keys and key cards

· Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues

· Ensure function of security equipment

· Maintenance duties will include upkeep of pool, snow removal, painting, ability to operate power tools and motorized equipment, and general building maintenance

· Make rounds throughout the shift to ensure public areas are clean and tidy

· Comply and maintain back up with all maintenance requests submitted by each department through work order software

· Maintain facility at a level to meet or surpass all relevant Medicaid, fire and building codes and standards

· Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward co-workers, individuals served and visitors

Qualifications Include:

· High School Diploma or G.E.D.

· 5 years of experience in and knowledge of electrical, plumbing repairs, HVAC, building construction, and maintenance operations

· Experience in facilities management

· Ability to travel to Lima and Pemberville locations to complete facility work orders

· Ability to follow written and oral instruction

· Computer skills in regard to Microsoft Office Suite

· Valid Driver’s License with eligibility to be insured

· Ability to operate a variety of household appliances and power equipment

· Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds

· Ability to bend, crouch, twist, stand for long periods of time and walk extensively.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
