2nd Shift Production

Open Positions: Materials Handler, Assembly Tech, Shells, and Production Team Lead.

Shift: Works Monday – Thursday 4:30pm – 3:00am

Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour (includes shift differential)

Material Handlers: base $21 and up based on experience.

Summary (Position Description): Responsible to set up and operate all compressor assembly stations. Majority of duties are associated with compressor assembly but could include compressor processing and final pack as well.

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Status: Full time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Duties & Tasks

Shells

o Maintain all BIPROS 5S standards on a daily basis.

o May be asked to be involved in BIPROS events such as GEMBA, Kaizen, TPM, etc.

o Must be able to maintain and run CNC and other machines in the department.

o Must be able to learn how to and earn certificates in regards to weld inspection and tack weld operations.

Assembly

o Safely operate powered industrial equipment

o Complete standard work documentation or reporting SPC process control if required

o Use SAP reporting for material transactions

o Perform various maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, and facility work.

Materials

o Maintains material quality and inventory of materials to be moved by sight inspection and counting before moving.

o Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together using a banding tool.

o Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.

o Counts materials, property and supplies and records totals to inventory program in SAP.

o Prepares bills of lading and maintains documents of goods shipped.

o Prepares reports, inventory balance sheets and lists of depleted or defective or unusable material.

Production Lead

o Identify, prioritize and drive process improvements

o Able to run all operations on the assembly line and direct and train all assembly personnel

o Escalate any downtimes to the responsible departments. Fill in work orders to track machine downtime

o Responsible to keep the focus on Safety and Quality initiatives in the area including the adherence to all standard work (Method Sheets) and quality alerts

o Coordinate material replenishment and line changeovers on the Assembly line

o Responsible to adequately qualify direct reports and evaluate effectiveness of training including updating the qualification matrix

For all positions

o Perform various maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, and facility work.

o Perform miscellaneous duties as required. (Not limited to sweeping/mopping/maintaining the work areas on a daily basis)

o Work safely and effectively within a team environment

o Compile all daily forms and paperwork as needed

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

· Willingness to be trained on different station on the assembly line

· Technical background or Mechanical hobbies are preferred but not required

· General Knowledge of Compressor technology preferred but not required

· General ability to work safely and effectively within a team manufacturing environment

· SAP experience with Materials & Inventory Management transactions required.(Material Handler Only)

Requirements:

· Ability to be on your feet for 9 1/2 hours per day.

· Ability to effectively meet and communicate with employees, the public and vendors

· Mechanically and computer inclined-no machining experience needed.

· Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion and sound judgment

· Good written communication skills and effective organizational skills

· Ability to work collectively with others within the organization

Work Environment:

· This job is performed in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee constantly is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and 30 or more pounds on a regular basis.
