Summary (Position Description): Responsible for coordinating the Production Plan for the organization including machining, pre-assembly, and assembly. Interface and collaborate with Customer Service/Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering, to effectively communicate customer requirements against capacity planning and scheduling work to ensure on time delivery per customer requirements and delivery dates.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining production schedules – responsible for generating daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on open orders, forecast, and as aligned to production capacity and customer requirements utilizing tools such as BOMs, Excel spreadsheets, and Advanced Production Scheduling software.
Entering and releasing jobs and shopfloor orders - Inside of ERP, publishing and distributing orders electronically through MES, and APS scheduling application, and physically distributing orders and prints as applicable to Manufacturing on a daily and weekly basis.
Monitoring and managing Production throughput and flow - Overview normal production plan progress and support corrective action around exceptions and delays in the event work cannot proceed due to unplanned interruptions, shortages, or customer changes; and lead communication with cross functional support teams and working groups.
Raw material & Finished Good Inventory review – Review material availability and supply dates prior to job/shopfloor order release and engage Purchasing on verifying inbound material purchase orders. Coordinate Manufacturing for prefabrications for materials not currently available to ensure proper allocation, and that supply dates meet production start dates. Manage reorder points, safety stock levels based on dept criteria, and in service of inventory control and reduction.

Duties & Tasks % of Time
- Schedule for Pressure Vessel segment and other assembly, machining, pre-assembly, and accessory departments to meet internal & external customer needs
- Crosstrain across Bitzer production planning segments, and provide coverage for counterparts as needed, and maintain accurate work instructions and related training documents for tasks and duties.
- Track Finish Good inventory units/dollars while planning long term Heijunka levels that support customer demands
- Interface with customer service and sales on lead times, availability, and other pertinent inquiries. Review and communicate long term forecasts.
- Track & Report Planning & Production KPIs
- Communicate the daily and weekly production scheduling during cross functional production meeting.
- Forward thinking scheduling that allows flexibility to change the schedule to meet customer demands.
- Daily execution of job and shopfloor entry and maintenance in ERP, MES, and print out and electronic communications to Manufacturing.
- Assist the Master Production Scheduler in maintaining Planning Master data in ERP including safety stock, re-order points, MOQs, and proper consumption classification.
- Assist the Master Production Scheduler in the process of forecast maintenance, inventory monitoring, and on-time delivery review and attainment.
- Continuous Improvement Projects within Scheduling scope, including new LYNQ MES/APS initiative, and Macola ERP refinements

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
· Advanced knowledge of production scheduling and manufacturing / factory flow processes
· Advanced knowledge of production planning within ERP Systems
· Intermediate knowledge of forecasting techniques as applied to a manufacturing environment.
· Intermediate knowledge of lean manufacturing
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
· ASCM CPIM Certification preferred.
· Macola or other ERP Experience preferred.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or relative experience or a minimum of 5 years in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
· Ability to effectively meet and lead communication across cross functional teams, including customers and vendors.
· Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
· Solid PC skills using Microsoft Office software, as well as a working knowledge of general office equipment (photocopier, fax machine, phones.)
· Good written communication skills and effective organizational skills.
· Ability to work collectively with others within the organization.
Work Environment:
· This job is performed in a professional office environment. It also requires time on the shop floor with machining, assembly, and material technicians. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk on the shop floor. Occasionally may be required to drive and operate a fork truck
