Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various dental procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and proficiency in using dental systems such as Patterson eaglesoft and 3D scanners.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
• Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient information within the practice management system.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when required.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a clean working environment.
• Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.

Requirements

• Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control practices is essential.
• Experience with Dentrix software or similar dental management systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with prosthodontics and experience in dental assisting are highly desirable.
• Ability to take X-rays and maintain accurate medical records.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and technologies, including the use of 3D scanners.
