We are looking for an entry-level Industrial Engineer Generalist to join our team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will support the design, implementation, and optimization of various functions within our operational production environment. This is an on-site, non-remote position that offers hands-on experience in manufacturing and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop work plans and plan operating resources to enhance production efficiency.
- Identify and implement optimization measures for existing production lines.
- Improve facility layout, storage systems, and material flow for operational efficiency.
- Manage parts list and production plans to ensure cost-effective manufacturing.
- Support new product launches and contribute to project development.
- Assist with the physical assembly of designs and document processes accordingly.
- Utilize PLM software (Teamcenter, SAP) for part management and BOM revisions/releases.
- Analyze manufacturing processes, participate in troubleshooting, and suggest improvements.
- Travel as needed to support company operations and projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable working with hand tools and small power tools in a hands-on environment.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills—able to collaborate effectively across all levels.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze root causes and propose effective solutions.
- Knowledge of lean production principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking, initiative, and organizational skills.
