Position Overview
BizFirst is assisting our client with the search for a full-time dedicated HR and Administrative Coordinator to support various business functions, including HR, payroll, IT, and general administration. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working across multiple disciplines, following established processes, and picking up new skills quickly.
Our client is a specialized management consulting firm that engages experienced professionals and consultants to support the federal government with strategic project execution, financial process optimization, advanced IT solutions, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation. Through innovative transformations, they develop and implement strategies to optimize operations for military departments and agencies across the U.S. Federal Government.
Ideal candidate will have administrative experience across all the disciplines and be a motivated, self-starter. Team will provide necessary training on unique systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
General Administration:
- Manage and maintain electronic and physical files.
- Provide administrative support to the CEO, including scheduling and correspondence.
- Handle scanning, filing, and general office organization.
HR Support:
- Assist with onboarding, including preparing and filing documents.
- Maintain employee records in HR systems and support open enrollment.
- Respond to basic HR inquiries and provide recruiting assistance as needed.
Payroll and Accounting Support:
- Help process payroll and verify timecards.
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, such as filing invoices and reconciling accounts.
- Support the team in managing expense reports and employee reimbursements.
IT and Operational Support:
- Assist with basic IT tasks, such as managing software accounts and permissions.
- Support team members with IT-related queries and equipment management.
Other activities as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree or relevant work experience in Business Administration, HsR, or related fields.
- Experience: 2 years in administrative, HR, or accounting roles preferred; former executive assistant or office manager with multi-disciplinary experience.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort with Microsoft Office.
- Other: A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to adapt to new tasks quickly.
- Availability: Willingness to travel occasionally to office in Aldie, VA.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Familiarity with federal contracting or government financial processes.
- Experience with business development support or resume management.
- Certifications in payroll, bookkeeping, or HR (e.g., CPP, SHRM-CP).
