Job Summary:
The Buyer manages the sourcing and procurement of box build solutions and PCBA’s, balancing cost, quality, and timely delivery. This includes sourcing suppliers, managing orders and inventory, and evaluating suppliers. The Senior Buyer will also focus on streamlining procurement processes, fostering supplier partnerships, and driving cost reductions to improve operational efficiency.
The Buyer manages the sourcing and procurement of box build solutions and PCBA’s, balancing cost, quality, and timely delivery. This includes sourcing suppliers, managing orders and inventory, and evaluating suppliers. The Senior Buyer will also focus on streamlining procurement processes, fostering supplier partnerships, and driving cost reductions to improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of MRP, BOM, inventory management, demand forecasting, and reporting analytics. Infor Syteline ERP experience is a plus.
- Purchase materials based on consumption patterns and demand forecasts; manage supplier performance and respond to price changes.
- Negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality. Build strong supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with production to align material status with production schedules.
- Assist NPI team in sourcing specific devices.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, focusing on cost, quality, lead time, and inventory management.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, material management, or a similar field preferred.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing (high mix, low volume).
- LEAN methodology expertise and ability to streamline processes.
- Strong financial and commercial understanding for cost control.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ability to analyze data and recommend actions based on market conditions and supplier performance.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; Syteline experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues independently.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
