Summary:
Handles the movement of materials within the plant, work areas, or storage locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follows instructions or work orders to identify materials to move
- Loads/unloads materials by hand or with equipment
- Moves items to designated areas, vehicles, or workstations
- Secures materials during transport to avoid damage
- Labels or tags materials for identification
- Records material counts and movements
- Operates industrial trucks, hoists, and other equipment
- Assists with assembling crates, bundling materials, and taking samples for lab analysis
- Keeps work areas and equipment clean
- High school diploma or equivalent; or 6 months1 year of related experience/training
- Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems and scanners is a plus (training available)
- Organized, good communicator, and professional in interactions
