Key Job Elements:
- Performs semi-repetitive and complex mechanical assembly operations. Some electrical as needed.
- Formal schooling/military/technical certifications are highly desirable
- Automotive mechanics exp a plus
- Fits parts and makes complex mechanical connections.
- Uses various power tools in assembly operations (drills, screw guns, crimpers, welder, etc.)
- Operates all types of leak check equipment and other complex test procedures and fixtures.
- Follows written procedures, instructions, complex blueprints and schematics.
- Uses proper vacuum techniques in assembly including the use of alcohol and acetone.
- Inspecting assemblies for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometers.
- Uses D.V.M. in simple troubleshooting.
- Reporting any defective parts, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Fills out assembly sheets, lost time documentation and time card.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 3yrs related experience or trade school education. Must be proficient with variety of hand tools.

- Read complex blueprints and schematics (English).
- Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculation
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the assembly process
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Work from stepladder - 6 ft. high max.
- Upkeep of hose racks, screw bins and other production supplies.
- Cleans area using vacuums and brooms
- Pulls parts and credits parts to and from stock
- Requires hazardous waste handling and use of hazardous materials.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
