The Security Guard will work on-site at Fort Eisenhower. This role involves monitoring entry and exit to secure training areas, ensuring that only authorized personnel and items are allowed in and out, maintaining logs, and contacting appropriate authorities if security breaches occur.
Travel: None
Schedule: Staff will be assigned 8-hour shifts. Regular shifts are 8h between 7AM and 5PM with occasional swing shift coverage between 2PM and 10PM. Shifts may occur any time from Monday to Friday, day or night, but there will be no scheduling on weekends or federal holidays. As a Full-Time Security Guard, you can anticipate a work schedule of approximately 40 hours over the course of a week. Be prepared for the possibility of additional hours to accommodate any call-offs from fellow employees.
Responsibilities:
· Providing security support to the US Army Ordnance School at Fort Eisenhower
· Monitoring and controlling entry and egress in support of training operations inside designated secured training areas
· Ensuring only allowable items are brought in and/or taken out of secured areas by authorized individuals only
· Maintaining physical control over all entrances to the secured area, ensuring all personnel entering have required security clearance
· Maintaining accurate logs of all personnel entering the secured areas; also maintaining control and accountability over all items, documents, information technology, training equipment, and/or software entering and leaving the secured areas
· Ensuring that only allowable items are carried in or removed from the secured area
· Providing directions to personnel entering the secured areas, preventing unauthorized persons from entering the areas
· Immediately contacting Installation Provost Marshall or other Government personnel if force entry is attempted
· Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
· 4 years of experience in physical security
· Active DoD Secret clearance
· The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external team members, both orally and in writing
· The ability to comply with local, state, and federal financial regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications:
· Georgia Security Guard License (Guard Card)
