The purchasing clerk is responsible for performing a variety of routine clerical and administrative duties, in compliance with government and management directives.
Job Description:
- Type and file correspondence, purchase orders, requests for bids and quotes, and other documents for the department.
- Maintain systems and programs related to purchasing and purchase orders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting procurement.
- Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff, and other center customers.
- Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
- · Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- · Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
- · Participation in PRH-mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to work in fast-paced deadline-oriented situations.
High School Diploma and one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and training.
Valid State Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency are required.
