Description
Responsible for transportation and motor pool, in compliance with government, corporate, and management directives.
Job Description:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the administrative and programmatic activities of the department. Identify and recommend establishments as off-limits that contribute to negative student behavior; ensure student activities are monitored in the communities.
Act as liaison with federal agencies (GSA and DOL) to requisition vehicles for center use and ensure drivers are properly licensed.
Plan and coordinate with center staff pertaining to transportation scheduling needs and activities.
Develop and implement orientation and in-service training programs for staff to ensure safe driving practices.
Develop and monitor schedules for drivers to ensure student transportation needs are being met; ensure drivers are properly licensed.
Ensure student transportation needs are met throughout enrollment to include job shadowing, work based learning, job interviews, etc.
Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment. Provide positive customer service to students, staff, and other center customers. Participate in student employability programs and activities.
Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy.
Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary, and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.
Cultivate and maintain a climate on the center free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
· Ensures acceptable student behavior is demonstrated.
· Works towards meeting performance standard goals.
· Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
· Adheres to required property control policies and procedures.
· Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Bizzell’s policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
· Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
High level of time management skills; punctual with routes.
Ability to demonstrate safe driving habits and practices; following all state and national safety regulations and standards.
Ability to pass DOT medical exam.
Experience
Associate's degree and two years of related experience, one of which should be supervisory.
Directly related experience may be considered in lieu _of formal education requirements
Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and computer proficiency required.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Valid State Driver’s License – Class CDL or willingness to obtain CDL.
