BJAAM is pleased to present this full-time opportunity for a qualified candidate to start employment in the environmental contracting sector as a “Equipment Operator”.

BJAAM’s headquarters is located in Canal Fulton, Ohio, about twenty minutes southwest of Akron, Ohio. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits as described below.

This opportunity requires a residence within fifty miles of the office. BJAAM also requires selected applicants to comply with a “Drug Free Workplace Policy” prior to permanent placement. Additional requirements and qualifications are described below.

Purpose and Duties:

Operate equipment in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies

Perform efficient safe operation of bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes, front end loaders, wheel loaders, off road dump trucks, and other equipment

Safely move dirt, rocks or material in a manner which does not endanger personnel or equipment

Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections on equipment and complete necessary forms

Perform routine maintenance on equipment, (i.e., lubricating, fueling and cleaning equipment)

Operate various equipment for general site preparation, landscaping, snow removal, and/or related assignments

Continuously monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation and minimal down time.

Education & Experience Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Practical work experience during an internship or record of non-related employment (with references) is also required. Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing).

Conditions of Employment:

All applicants must be able to meet the following Conditions of Employment to be considered for this position. Prior to the first date of employment, the applicant must pass a five-panel drug test. Failure to provide these requirements may result in an employment offer being withdrawn. Once hired, the employee must be able to arrive to work on time as scheduled. In the case of dissatisfactory work performance, the employee may be terminated.
