Barnes is hiring a Lab leader to oversee care coordination for Siteman. This person must have a Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years of leadership experience with a preference for an ASCP certified candidate with a clinical lab science degree. Position is primarily at the GSW building on the Barnes campus but must be able to present at West County and South County locations as well.

Responsibilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Directs and manages all technical and administrative aspects of the laboratory. Administer BJC policy as well as setting local policy for clinical quality, human resources, finance, and regulatory. Acts as liaison between laboratory and other functions of the hospital or system.
- Directs, supports and promotes continuous improvement of quality and service to ensure the goal of excellence in clinical outcomes.
- Researches, evaluates, selects and implements systems which improve efficiency of department operations
- Ensures maintenance of laboratory services and quality in accordance with prescribed standards and policies of the system, government and other accreditation agencies.
