About the Role:
The Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist will provide skilled occupational therapy services to patients with physical impairments, promoting their ability to perform daily activities and maintain independence. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient goals.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare providers on optimal functional techniques and strategies.
- Delegate tasks and supervise assistants, techs, and students as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress according to departmental policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to evidence-based practice guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Missouri.
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in outpatient settings, particularly with patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Certification in hand therapy or other specialized areas of occupational therapy.
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
