The Ambulatory Surgery Department (ASD) plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. As an ASD RN, you will be responsible for reviewing documentation for completeness, ensuring all chart requirements are met, and providing support to surgical candidates prior to surgery.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
- Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
**Requirements:**
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- No experience required; nurse with relevant experience may apply.
