Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Lab Associate III – Processing (Afternoon / Evening shift)
- $1000 sign-on bonus
- Full-Time Evening shift (4-10 hour shifts a week - 8 shifts a pay period)
- 12:00pm-10:30pm with rotating weekend and holidays
- Pre-Analytic departments of the laboratory
- Processing, Customer Service, and Sendouts
- In-Office position
- General Lab Processing / Customer Service
- Processing Dept & Customer Service Dept (Works in two departments assigned per shift)
- Processing Dept (intake and distribution on specimens arrival, ensure all the proper procedures are adhered so that the specimen integrity is not compromised)
- Customer Service Dept: Mainly phone interaction making or receiving phone calls to physician offices, ensuring the reference lab specimens are accounted for and given to the registration team when a specimen registration is needed, releasing order from EMR for manually ordering
- Sendout Dept - handles, processes, storage, packaging, shipping, and resulting of any test that we do not perform
- Provide results to caregivers
Experience:
- Lab experience is preferred
- Strong communication skill and teamwork
- Call Center and/or phone customer service experience
- Comfortable working in various computer systems
- Strong ability to multitask in a busy environment
