Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Orthopedic Surgery Center. The successful candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be able to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
This role is responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. The nurse will also educate patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
- Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
- Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
- Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree and current RN licensure. Experience preferred but not required. BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position, requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
