The Ambulatory Surgery Department (ASD) is a critical component of the hospital's surgical services. As an ASD RN, you will be responsible for reviewing documentation for completeness, ensuring all chart requirements are met, and providing support to surgical candidates prior to surgery. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the interprofessional team to develop and implement individual plans of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
