Clinical Nurse

Position Requirements:
- Up to a $7,500 Sign-On Bonus
- Benefits Eligible
- 30 Hours a Week 3x10hr (Day Shift)
- Flexible Start Schedule assigned per unit needs:
- 6:00am – 4:30pm
- 7:00am – 5:30pm
- 7:30am – 6:00 pm
- Call Duties (Nights/Weekends/Holidays)
- One night a week 6:00pm – 7:00am (off the day after call)
- Weekend Saturday 7:00am until Monday 7:00am
- One call weekend shift (7 - 8 weekends rotation schedule)
- One Holiday per year (7am-7am)
- 45-minute response time
- BLS required.
- Orientation and Training- 6 -12 weeks (Depending on skills)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be flexible in role and work with two different units
- Detailed oriented.
Preferred Experience:
- ACLS & PALS within 90 days of hire (RQI system)
- Critical Care Experience Preferred
- Preferred Experience in the PACU, Surgery Center, ICU, ER or Cath lab and related experience
- 2 - 3 yrs. of RN exp.
Overview
Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more.
The Ambulatory Surgery Department (ASD) reviews documentation for completeness and makes sure all chart requirements are met for surgical candidates prior to surgery. It also serves as a phase II recovery area for ''day surgery'' patients (those who are anticipated to go home after their procedure). Pre-Admission Testing is a subset of ASD and does pre-admission screening and testing for surgical patients.
