What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Support Specialist II - Client Housing position at BJC?
- Up to a $1500 Sign on Bonus
- Shift information: Typically 8:00 am-4:30 pm
- Types of clients: Behavioral health clients residing in Residential Services Facilities – Group Homes
- Team dynamic: This will be the second Residential Community Support Specialist on the team along with a Housing Coordinator and Housing Liaison
- Ideal Skill Set: Ability to advocate for client needs, organized, punctual
- MUST HAVE skills for this position: Must be able to drive to the office and the Residential Group Homes in the community
- Job responsibilities: Complete treatment plans, Timely Monitor/schedule completion of annual assessments
- Example of a typical Day: You will drive to one or more of our Group Homes daily to check in with clients mental health status and assist client with meeting goals on treatment plan. Will also assist client with transporting to psych/counselor or Primary Care Dr. appointments, and advocate for clients daily needs.
Overview
BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.
