  • Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare are seeking a dedicated training and program manager that will conduct analysis and develop emergency prepared strategy. 
  • Ideal Candidates will have experience facilitating and planning meetings, as well as working as a collaborative team member using an all hazards approach. 
  • This is a a full-time, onsite position.

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

 

The safety department's goal is to maintain a safe work environment for all staff and visitors.  Safety is responsible for the hospital, medical office building and Village North Nursing Home, plus parking lots and roadways.  The safety coordinator performs routine checks on the physical environment, monitors process and policies for safety issues and concerns. 


Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Develop and maintain current, organizational Emergency Management Program in accordance with BJC, local, state, federal agency, accreditation requirements and organizational needs. Coordinate implementation of an all hazards emergency management program to prepare for and define actions in the event of an emergency situation to minimize interruption of services, restore services, functions and facilities as timely as possible. Continuously assess for effectiveness program related documentation, organizational structure and provide feedback for continous improvement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate an emergency management system including healthcare disaster preparedness, response to events with the potential to interrupt hospital operations.
  • Manage the annual Hazardous Vulnerability Analysis (HVA) process for all licensed organizational facilities. Plan and execute exercises. Participate in state and regional emergency management planning meetings.
  • Support the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS), including regular incident command exercisers, providing education and training for affected staff, incident response including supporting Incident Commander during activation's.
  • Facilitate the formal post-event debrief process and creation of After Actions Reports (AARs). Manage completion of all action items identified in formal debrief process. Maintain documation for review upon request.
  • Manage Emergency Management and Incident Management Team meetings. Establish and maintain in accordance with federal, state and local agency and accreditation requirements emergency management/preparedness policies and procedures. Provide technical support, policy interpretation and guidance for department specific emergency plans.
