Join a great team who works very well together. This team provides a rounded out and complete patient experience by providing images on a disc that the patient can send to their provider. Our Image Librarian's are at the end of every patient's radiology experience. Our daily tasks consist of...
- We create disc with the images patients have had and provide them to the patient, provider, legal teams, or a second opinion provider.
- We are also able to "push" images through a digital cloud to provide a quicker service
- We manage all images that come in through an outside disc or cloud
- Transfer images for the radiologist to be able to view and provide the necessary care for every patient
- We receive calls, faxes, people in person that request images and their reports
This opportunity is a 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital pioneered many radiological milestones including work on 3-D treatment planning for cancer, and became the first in Missouri to combine PET and CT scanning. You will be working with an organization on the leading edge of diagnostic radiology. In fact, our radiology department is regarded as one of the top five in the United States, and performs over 453,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Processes all requests for all patient images (films or CD) and follows necessary procedures to obtain images from film library/warehouse and/or Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Performs a variety of film filing and handling, as well as the distribution, retrieval and management of computer images and records to achieve an effective and efficient operation of the Radiology PACS library. May process patient flow and perform clerical duties as needed.
