This 11-week accelerated training program combines classroom instruction, hands-on skill labs and on-the-job training in a clinical practice. The training satisfies the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services requirements for Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP). Get started and apply at www.stlcc.edu/PCT

Individuals selected for the program will be employed as PCTs during training.
*Tuition funding is provided by BJC HealthCare. Minimum 1-year employment commitment to Barnes Jewish West County Hospital required upon completion.

Overview
Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. Role Purpose
Provides direct patient care to support the licensed professional nurses responsible for a team of patients to ensure a safe environment for patients by reducing risk of harm. Collects vital information on the patient and reports such to the nursing team which contributes to the overall assessment of each patient and any changes to a patient's condition.
