What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Clinical Program Manager position at BJC?
Exciting opportunity for someone with leadership experience and a strong operational background. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of three gift shops, concierge services, the Barnes Lodge, volunteer services and Nursing Administration (approximately 90 direct reports). The ideal candidate will have an MHA or MBA, experience in an inpatient setting, a good understanding of financials/budgeting and experience communicating with clinical leaders.
Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
The Nursing Administration Department handles all staffing coordinators and the Clinical Operations Coordinators (COC). The Nursing Administration also coordinates budgeting for the nursing departments located throughout the hospital. The department also handles visitors, expirations and walk-ins.

Role Purpose
Oversees development and implementation of programmatic strategic plans, working closely with hospital administration and physician leadership. Directs financial and operational performance of departments including development of annual budgets, monitoring of revenues and expenses, as well as implementation of consistent management practices across departments.
