7:00 - 7:30

Role Purpose

The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support.
  • Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail.
  • Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures. Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
