What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator of Student Leadership and Organizations position at BJU, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate student leadership events, supervise and mentor student organization leaders, assist the CLD Director and staff with special projects, communication, and meeting departmental goals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentor student leaders with a special focus on society leaders
- Lead planning and implementation of student-led events
- Collaborate with student leaders on events, projects, and fundraisers
- Assist with coordination of CLD events (training, retreats, meals, etc)
- Coordinate the Bruins Engage! EXP opportunities within the CLD
- Assist in oversight of student organizations and CLD assistants
- Represent the CLD at official campus events as needed
- Attend CLD and SD&D functions as needed
- Collect survey feedback from student leaders
- Maintain activity calendar and reservations for rooms in Den
- Assist with administrative tasks within the CLD
- Communicates the religious beliefs of BJU to students and student affiliates
- Answers questions concerning faith, doctrine and creed of BJU to constituents, students, or those inquiring about BJU
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Good interpersonal and communication skill, especially ability to develop rapport with students
- Demonstrated ability to organize, supervise, and lead
- Working knowledge of biblical leadership goals and methods
- Maturity, creativity, and enthusiasm
- Writing skills
