What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Coordinator position at BJU, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY: Promote efficiency within Student Development & Discipleship office and promote effective customer service toward students, constituents, and other departments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in evaluating and improving efficient flow of office responsibilities.
- Attend weekly meetings to ensure coordination between office personnel, residence hall staff, and deans.
- Maintain tickler of annual responsibilities to anticipate annual pain points, secure necessary datapoints, and coordinate effective interdepartmental and student communication.
- Review template communications, published policies, etc. regularly (at least annually) for clarity and consistency with current policies and procedures.
- Ensure the timely completion of Student Handbook revisions each summer.
- Generate and organize reports for both internal and external evaluation and assessment. Answer questions from faculty, students, and constituents related to Student Development (requires extensive communication by phone, by email, and in person).
- Identify breakdowns in interdepartmental communication and ways students are under-served, and suggest improvements for clarity, consistency, and customer service.
- Process student requests to miss required activities.
- Administrate key student-facing processes, including,
- Student church attendance reporting
- Residence hall spiritual leader nominations
- Responses to reports of invasive pests in the residence halls
- Residence hall door locks key card access
- Implement technological tools.
- Coordinate with the department of Information Technology to plan, design, implement, and resolve bugs and other issues with digital processes and applications.
- Administrate annual configuration of apps.
- Gathering student plans for breaks/holidays via Microsoft Forms
