Fire Sprinkler Service Manager

Job Summary:

Oversee all aspects of fire sprinkler service and provide technical expertise. Manage a team of fire sprinkler inspectors, field service technicians, and office personnel daily. Work with and report to an office manager, designers, VP of Operations, and owner(s) of company. This individual shall have a good understanding of all aspects of fire sprinkler systems and be able to communicate effectively. They must also represent the company in a professional manner and help maintain BK’s relationship and good standing with their clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Prepare and submit service estimates for new and existing customers

- Building/ site visits to observe sprinkler systems and deficiencies

- Manage inspection deficiencies, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems

- Computes cost factors for planning, organizing, and scheduling work

- Prepares contracts for new and existing Fire Sprinkler accounts

- Works closely with designers, office manager, and VP of Operations

- Complete required service, repair and inspection work in the field as needed

- Complete all required paperwork and submit to proper department/AHJ in a timely manner

- Ensure Fire Sprinkler employees have daily schedules and follow-up throughout the day for work order status

- Answer and address incoming calls from customers regarding account/location needs.

- Develop and implement service standards and procedures to run department efficiently that are aligned with BK’s policy & procedure

- Partner with FS Account Service Representative to ensure FS Inspections are completed timely and accurately, and that all deficiencies are addressed

- Provide employee feedback during the review process

- Reviews work order status in database to ensure all status levels are addressed and followed up on

Licenses – Required & Preferred

- COF Sprinkler System Type 1 (Nassau County)

- Preferred, or willing to obtain COF Sprinkler System Type 2 (Nassau County)

- Preferred, or willing to obtain COF PFE (Nassau County)

- Preferred, or willing to obtain COF Sprinkler Systems (NYC)

- Preferred, or willing to obtain COF Standpipe Systems (NYC)

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Previous Fire Sprinkler field work required (at least 5 yrs) & supervisory experience preferred in the industry.

- Must have Fire Sprinkler System knowledge (wet, dry, pre-action, fire pumps, etc.)

- Ability to problem solve and work through challenges that come up throughout the work day

- Must be customer oriented and motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines

- Self-starter, with strong initiative and leadership skills

- Team oriented

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products

- Ability to handle multiple projects at once

- Clean drivers license
