Position Summary:
Electronics Assembly I assembles and tests electro-mechanical RF communication products and accessories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembles and tests electro-mechanical products with hand tools, fixtures, and processing equipment according to work instructions.
- Performs Through-hole and general process soldering.
- Performs PCBA and product level tests using automated test equipment.
- Communicates defects, issues and concerns with management; seeks guidance/ instruction as needed.
- Assists in other production areas, including SMT, repair, Test, Cable/Harness Assembly, Configure/Program, and Product packaging.
- Performs assigned jobs efficiently, with minimal errors and high-quality workmanship.
- Creates an organized and efficient work environment through implementation of Lean Manufacturing and 5 S activities.
- Manages all required documentation that accompanies work assignments (including job travelers /data packages.).
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Knowledge & Skills:
· Experience working in Electronics or Electro-mechanical fabrication, assembly, and /or test environment· Working knowledge of IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001· Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills· Basic Microsoft office applications, MRP/ERP, and scheduling software· Good analytical skills, possess critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills, Such as Lean manufacturing principles (5S, 5-why, Kaizen, Just-in-time, problem solving, root cause analysis, etc.) · Very detail-oriented, accrate and organized· Experience working in an ISO9001 regulated environment· Proper working knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge). Successful completion of ESD Training.· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines· Able to work independently and as part of a team· Confidentiality and time management; Reliable transportation· Must be able to perform accurate, repetitive, and steady work with minimal errors· Able to work overtime as required to support Manufacturing OperationsQualifications:· Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Trade school or Vocational training preferred)· Experience: Previous Assembler experience of 2 or more years

Work typically takes place in a normal factory and office environment requiring: Walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, hearing, and
- Lifting - frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds
- Vision - specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Handling – test equipment, large/small tools, radios, parts, keyboard manipulation
- Walking/standing for long periods of time
- Able to use standard tools
- Able to climb ladders
- Talking – communicate trouble shooting problems
- Operate a PC and other maintenance equipment
- Travel between floors and office buildings may be required
- Frequently exposed to conditions such as fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise, vibration, oils, solvents, and chemicals
- Occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme outside weather conditions
