List Of Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the complete transaction process of acquisitions and dispositions from underwriting and pre-due diligence to contract preparation, collection and validation of due diligence, establishing and administration of electronic data rooms, coordination of third-party consultants, and all pre-closing, closing and post-closing activities.
- Work with lenders to coordinate acquisition financing and refinancing. Collaborate with BKM’s legal team to facilitate.
- Coordinate and collaborate with investors, partners, brokers, attorneys, consultants and BKM team members including information transference from acquisitions team to operations team within BKM.
- Prepare presentation materials for Investment Committee, Investors and Partners with a focus on accuracy and expediency.
- Responsible for setting work and/or project deadlines using sound judgement with a thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and sound and ethical business practices.
- Management of critical dates and collaborating with internal and external teams to meet all required deadlines.
- Establish and conduct periodic meetings with BKM team members and departments to coordinate underwriting, due diligence and closing activities.
- Facilitate asset transition meetings to ensure a smooth transition process to BKM’s asset management, property management and accounting teams.
- Excellent verbal/ written communication skills; excellent interpersonal/customer service skills; ability to participate/conduct meetings and presentations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail; Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills; strong ability to prioritize tasks; Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations or incomplete information is a must; Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment, working well under pressure is a must; ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Advanced knowledge of real estate and financial terms and principles.
- Ability to work independently and think proactively and strategically.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university.
- 6 years related experience in transaction management and due diligence, preferable on the principal side of industrial, office and/or retail.
- Extensive knowledge of financial terms, principles, policies, and practices relating to real estate transactions.
- Advanced computer software applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Argus, Yardi/MRI/Accounting Software, etc.)
