Environmental - Project Scientist
BL Companies growth offers the opportunity for a Project Scientist with 3-5 years of experience in our Environmental group. This role includes due diligence and site assessment projects and involves a mix of field and office work supporting private and public sector clients in NJ and across the country.

The selected individual must be ready to take on challenging projects in a collaborative, fast paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee due diligence investigations, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Preliminary Assessments, and Phase II Investigations
- Field sampling of soil, groundwater, and soil-gas
- Ability to understand project scope, coordination and execution of field activities
- Tabulation and understanding of generated environmental data
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in environmental science, geology or related education
- 3-5 years of experience conducting environmental due diligence and investigation projects
- General knowledge of NJDEP Rules, Regulations and Guidance documents
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Strong technical writing skills for due diligence reports and environmental assessments
- Ability to carry equipment (20-30 lbs) in challenging field conditions
- Overnight travel required to support national clients
