Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineer
BL Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineer, with 4 years experience, to grow our transportation team in our Hartford office. This position is for a project or senior-level engineer to work on bridge projects in Connecticut and would assist BLs staff on similar projects in the northeast. BL Companies is an ENR Top 500 firm that provides engineering, architecture, environmental, and land surveying services to its clients, with 18 offices throughout the eastern United States.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight and completion of hydrologic and hydraulic tasks, including report preparation and reviews
- Design and selection of hydrologic flows, hydraulic modeling analysis, scour depth calculations and countermeasure design and floodway analysis
- Development of permit applications.
Required Experience:
- PE preferred
- Excellent oral and technical writing skills
- MicroStation experience a plus
- Permitting experience a plus
- Two-Dimensional modeling experience a plus
