B.L. Harbert International is looking for an Electrical Superintendent. The position is the top manager in the field responsible for all aspects of the electrical construction contract including production, safety, and quality control. As the use of subcontractors is very limited, he or she should have knowledge and background in construction means and methods in order to plan the work as a self-perform builder. This would include the ability to plan the work including manpower requirements, materials, tools, and equipment.

B.L. Harbert International is looking for an Electrical Superintendent. This would include the ability to plan the work including manpower requirements, materials, tools, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with project electrical manager/Engineer on schedule, progress and technical needs
- Manage material requisitions in coordination with site/foremen needs
- Review drawings, and specifications requirements
- Provide look ahead schedules and reports to upper management on site electrical progress
- Manage tools inventory and dispensing.
- Work cooperatively with the quality control department in addressing defects and code violations.
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the US Government
- Ability to relocate to an international project site for 2-4 years
- 5 years’ experience in the supervision of construction projects
- Fluency in English, spoken, written and read
- Critical and effective leadership and personnel management ability
- Ability to mentor inexperienced foreign national electricians into the NEC safety environment, NEMA and ANSI electrical material and equipment
- Experience in direct labor supervision (instead of subcontractors)
- Master Electrician certification
- Knowledge of construction means and methods with a self-perform background
- Experience in NFPA70E codes, standards
- Experience in NEMA, UL electrical type material
- Experience in Department of Defense or Department of State construction projects
- Proficiency in MS Office
To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:
- Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead
- Have the ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, bend, balance and twist for extended periods
- Have the ability to frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 75 pounds
- Possess the manual dexterity to utilize and operate construction tools and/or construction equipment and machinery
- Possess physical agility and mobility, to include safely maneuvering throughout the job site
To perform the duties of this job, the employee
- Must be able to work 60-hours/week, six days/week, 10 hours/day
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Will have occasional exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites including frequent loud noises
- Must be comfortable with regular work near moving mechanical parts and outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
