Overview:
We are seeking an Mid-Level Associate to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in gaining exposure in family law, probate and estate planning and developing foundational skills in a dynamic work environment. We are a busy firm that is growing!
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft and review legal documents, including estate planning documents and pleadings
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Manage and supervise junior attorneys and support staff
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the jurisdiction
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on family law, probate and estate planning
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, including document management and case organization
- Experience with Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research purposes
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously
- Proven ability to litigate cases effectively
