Salary: $19.19-$22.32 /hr. plus benefits

Hours/Week: 40
Months/Year: 10 months
JOB BEGINS IMMEDIATELY
POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates and directs the work of food service personnel in preparing nutritious and attractive
meals for students and staff while maintaining a clean kitchen and cafeteria and observing all
Health Department regulations to create a safe and healthy work environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
? High School diploma or equivalent.
? One year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
? Prior experience in school setting preferred.
? Contingent on Criminal Records Check - SB 1078
? Contingent on previous Educational Employer Check
? Fingerprinting required
RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but are not limited to):
? Follow and maintains knowledge of all District policy(ies) and procedures.
? Knows and understands federal guidelines for the Child Nutrition Program and ensures
compliance.
? Knows and follows all safety and sanitary rules and regulations related to food handling.
? Creates and implements the school meal menus.
? Takes inventory, orders, receives, and verifies supply delivery(ies) District-wide.
? Preparation of school meals, to include participating in the planning, cutting, cooking and
preparation of food items according to the planned menu.
? Ensures the quality and portion control of food served.
? Ensures a safe and clean work area.
? Checks freezers, refrigerators, and dishwashers to ensure proper operating temperature is being
maintained and sanitation standards are being upheld.
? Operates kitchen equipment including dishwasher, slicer, mixer, etc. while maintaining sanitary
specifications.
