Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Oversee the production operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to schedules.
- Optimize production processes to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
- Monitor equipment and ensure proper maintenance to avoid downtime.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, operators, and staff.
- Build a positive work environment that fosters collaboration and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Cost Management:
- Manage budgets and control costs, including labor, materials, and utilities.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve cost efficiency.
Quality and Food Safety:
- Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and other food safety regulations.
- Maintain high-quality standards for food products, ensuring consistency.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address issues and implement corrective actions.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce workplace safety programs to minimize accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health standards.
Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and execute strategies to improve production capacity and streamline processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant management, preferably in food production.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, USDA).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of production equipment and processes in the food industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar).
