Job Title : Truck Driver, Medium Location : Pax River, MD
Job Description : We are looking for a skilled Truck Driver to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently to various destinations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating medium-sized trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities :
- Drives a straight truck, 1 1 / 2 to 4 tons inclusive, usually 6 wheels to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments such as : manufacturing plants, freight depots, warehouses, wholesale, and retail establishments, or between retail establishments and customers' houses or places of business.
- Safely operate medium-sized trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring proper distribution and securing of items.
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, hours of service, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials if applicable.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and performing minor repairs as needed.
- Represent Black Bear Technology Solutions in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
