Job Overview : We are seeking a talented Communications and Visual Design Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will create innovative products and engaging data visualizations to connect field practitioners with essential research and analysis reports. Your work will involve translating complex data into impactful charts, graphs, infographics, and presentations, while supporting communications campaigns and strategic planning efforts. You will collaborate with the REU team to design and implement strategies that enhance stakeholder awareness and engagement with research findings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Innovative Product Creation : Develop innovative products, including engaging data visualizations and infographics, to connect field-based professional development (PD) practitioners with research and analysis resources.
- Data Translation : Transform complex data into clear, impactful charts, graphs, and presentations to make research findings accessible and understandable.
- Communication Campaigns : Collaborate with unit leadership to create and execute communication campaigns that inform the PD community about new and existing research and capacity-building tools.
- Strategic Support : Assist the R / PPR unit in strategic discussions, problem-solving, and planning to enhance the awareness and engagement of key program stakeholders with REU research.
- Design Planning : Research, brainstorm, and plan with the REU team to develop effective designs and communication products.
- Project Management : Provide project management support across various areas, including program and campaign development, materials creation, and stakeholder outreach.
- Key Messaging : Support leadership in crafting key messages and visual products that effectively communicate research and analysis findings.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure consistent, accurate, and tailored communications with internal and external stakeholders. Perform quality assurance reviews on written products and data visualizations.
- Representation : Represent and articulate the REU's work to clients and Department stakeholders, especially in the realm of research and analysis.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 4 years of experience in public affairs, public relations, information & visual design, or strategic communications.
Ability to present information clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
