Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, while also providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both the kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Assist in setting up tables and ensuring cleanliness of dining areas.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dishes to maintain an organized dining space.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
- Support servers by refilling drinks, providing additional utensils, or answering guest inquiries as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests with questions or recommendations.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a busy environment.
- Experience in food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Familiarity with TOAST POS system is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
