Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and assist in seating arrangements while maintaining excellent guest relations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant or hotel.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Provide information about menu items and specials to guests.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or requests to enhance their dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Utilize POS systems for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food service operations is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for hospitality and helping others create memorable experiences.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
