What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Black Canyon Dental?
We are looking for a temporary dental assistant to cover Maternity Leave. Great hours! We start at 6:30am and finish just after 3:00pm. This position is for Monday-Thursday. We are looking for a hard-working, motivated dental assistant with a positive attitude to help us treat our patients with high-quality care. Our current team members work hard and really enjoy the culture of the practice. Experience is preferred, but not required.
Requirements:
- Registered Dental Assistant (preferred)
- X-ray Certification (preferred)
- A positive, upbeat personality
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients to be seen by our dentists
- Maintain a sterile work environment according to OSHA standards by sterilizing dental instruments and sanitizing operatories after patient use
- Set up instrument trays, treatment materials, and assist in dental procedures
- Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges
- Obtain impressions, pour up, and trim study models
- Assist our dentists with IV sedation procedures
- Take X-rays of patients’ teeth
- Collect, record, and maintain the dental health records of our patients
- Collect, record, and maintain the dental treatment records of our patients
- Provide patients with information on dental hygiene and oral health
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
