Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and friendly Sales Associate to join our team at Black Cap Coffee and Bakery of Vermont. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing high-quality beverages and food items, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment.
Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve quality hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and blended drinks.
- Food Preparation: Prepare breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches.
- Customer Service: Take customer orders, communicate with other employees, and serve prepared foods. Describe menu items, product details, and preparation descriptions to customers and suggest products that may interest them.
- Coffee and Tea Knowledge: Develop an understanding of coffee and tea, including different regions, flavor profiles, and blends.
- Service Standards: Deliver distinguished and efficient service to all customers, responding to their needs and maintaining a composed demeanor during high-volume periods.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, restock service stations, and maintain retail areas.
- Teamwork: Follow policies on cash handling and POS use, take direction from managers, and assist where needed.
- Attendance and Appearance: Maintain regular attendance, report to work in proper uniform, and follow processes and procedures recorded in the Employee Handbook.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks, dishes, mopping, taking out garbage, and composting.
- Ability to stay on your feet for long periods of time, up to 6-8 hours.
Compensation: $19.50-$24.00 (with tips, depending on experience)
