Black & Company Industrial and Safety is a best-in-class regional distributor of Industrial and Safety Products serving the Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Missouri markets since 1920. Our organization consists of 6 stocking warehouses across 6 Cities throughout Illinois and Indiana. We employ approximately 100 individuals on our talented team, averaging 20 years of industry experience throughout the organization.
As a general-line distributor to industry, our product and service offering is extensive, and the knowledge requirement of our sales representatives is vast. We deal in product categories ranging from Safety & PPE, Abrasive Products, Engineered Adhesives, Contractor & Maintenance Supplies, Cutting Tools & Metalworking Products, Fasteners, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Ladders, Lubricants, Hose and Fittings, Janitorial and Sanitation, and many more.
We offer a wide range of on-site services to support the needs of our customer base at the plant level, including substantial Vendor Managed Inventory Procurement Programs, Industrial Vending Programs, Safety and Risk-Management Assessments, and more.
Position
Inside Sales – Quincy, IL Branch
- As an inside sales representative, primary areas of responsibility will be assisting end-user customers regularly, both established and prospective accounts. Respond to customer inquiries, Provide quotes and take customer orders, Order and source products, Negotiate selling and purchase prices, Proactively generate sales and promote Company products, Expedite backorders, Assist with pulling inventory and preparing shipments, Assist with customer returns, Trouble shoot customer concerns
- B&C Inside Sales Associates follow the sales process to influence sales for mid-sized to large customers, while driving profitable revenue growth. You will work in close partnership with branch outside sales team to drive sales growth, and develop skills within our team culture to ensure we are all working together as a group.
The Black & Company Quincy Team is seeking a RESULTS oriented sales professional who understands that to be successful as an inside salesperson in our industry it is essential to follow-through every step of the way. A process oriented, strategic individual, who takes on a consultative approach to identifying customer solutions. This Team Member must possess exceptional people skills!
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Industrial Products.
- Industry Experience is valuable - Not Mandatory
- Proficient on a Computer and Tablet.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work as part of a team with individuals across various lines of company business.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
