Position Summary:
The Director of Policy and Strategic Insights is a critical role responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that align with the organization's mission and goals. This position will support a team focused on data-driven decision-making, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Liaising with team members concerning team roles, responsibilities, and areas
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of team projects and initiatives
- Helping to coordinate and manage project and initiative tasks and deliverables.
- Analyzing, presenting, and reporting on key performance indicators and progress
- Coordinating routine and non-routine tasks and activities including, but not limited to, scheduling and documenting meetings, account and vendor management, and operations support, including administration and finance support.
- Performing other duties required to support Team roles and responsibilities.
- Upholding Black Cultural Zone’s Mission and Vision
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic vision for the organization, aligning it with the EBAN Team's broader objectives.
- Conduct strategic planning and scenario planning exercises to identify future opportunities and challenges.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging issues to inform strategic decision-making.
Policy Development and Advocacy
- Identify and analyze policy trends that impact the organization's mission and goals.
- Develop and implement effective advocacy strategies to influence policy decisions at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to build strong relationships and advance the organization's agenda.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Foster a data-centric approach to decision-making.
- Leverage PESTLE analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to inform decision-making.
- Lead the development and implementation of data collection and analysis systems.
- Leverage data insights to identify opportunities, address challenges, and measure performance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key organizational and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, community organizations, and philanthropic foundations.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and other relevant forums.
- Proactively identify and address stakeholder needs and concerns.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of policy analysts, researchers, and strategists.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other teams within the EBAN Team to identify and transition relevant responsibilities and initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to address complex issues and achieve shared objectives. Build strong partnerships and relationships with colleagues across the organization.

Physical Demands:
Essential functions of the position require the employee to use a telephone, work at a standard computer terminal, and be able to follow reasonable ergonomic recommendations, sit for long periods of time, repetitive motions, stand, reach, lift, and carry 20 pounds, and bend. A valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance are required for logistics and event coordination.
Salary : $95,000 - $115,000
